While struggling to continue his career as a filmmaker, Leo is going to do whatever it takes to survive despite a series of unexpected turns and shocking encounters.。在民国初年的背景下，革命党人高不就为联合反袁势力前往北京混混帮闯山门，却遭堂主铜狮子陷害，幸得小乞丐张野鬼搭救，二人结为结拜兄弟。后来张野鬼为救朋友与铜狮子结仇，被其卖至天津顶替他人受死，又被义兄高不就救出，逃往武功山。张野鬼在武功山拜师学艺，学成后返回京城，乔装成武功山人与铜狮子打赌：先令马老二在十五天内从乞丐变为权贵，又预言铜狮子百日内必有血光之灾。随后他巧妙潜入警局稽查毒品交易，将铜狮子人赃并获，使其险些丧命。铜狮子为攀附权贵，将张野鬼引荐给袁世凯的大公子。高不就顺势与张野鬼联手，通过智谋挫败袁世凯称帝的气焰，此举激怒袁大公子，迁怒之下处死了铜狮子。张野鬼最终得以报仇雪恨，也为民间除去一害。
