周筱兰在KTV工作，与男友阿ken感情甚浓。一天晚上，有一个年轻女仔找她，原来是Ken的前女友陈蕙贞。陈蕙贞向周筱兰大吐苦水，并想让周了解Ken的用情不专及恶劣行为。开始周筱兰对陈蕙贞的话还是半信半疑的，但后来出于同样是女性的考虑，周筱兰开始渐渐相信陈蕙贞的话，并且联合一起对付负心汉阿ken，令阿Ken处处碰壁。 阿Ken得到惩罚后，陈蕙贞向周筱兰说出了所有事情背后的真相。。许知夏失踪五年后醒来，发现被恩人张德夫妇所救。后遭遇羞辱，却坚强反击。在未婚夫纪修齐的帮助下，她揭露真相，让恶人受罚。同时，她不忘感恩，让张德夫妇坐上主桌，并在众宾客见证下收获真爱。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
