The poet Dante is lost in a dark and gloomy wood. At the summit of a mountain he sees the light of salvation. He endeavors to ascend to it, but his way is barred by three wild beasts, symbolizing Avarice, Pride and Lust. Virgil knows another way to go, ...。大军阀阿敏割据北方，早有意独揽大权，统一全国，与土豪勾结之余，更派遣特务到南方当卧底，期望时机成熟，大举南侵。南方革命军知悉内情，派遣唐璜到北方探取特务名单。唐璜以留学生身分作掩护，在执行任务期间却遇上一对盗贼兄弟游龙及厉虎，更因志同道合而结成好友，游龙及厉虎亦加入了革命军行列对抗大军阀阿敏。同时，唐璜亦得到女记者凯枫的帮肋，得以接近阿敏，究竟唐璜最后能否凭住他的机智及众人的帮助完成这项艰钜的任务呢？。石金水（周星驰 饰）与吴带娣（吴君如 饰）同在乡下长大，二人青梅竹马，也私定终生了。由于阿娣的父亲反对，两人不得不私奔到市区生活。刚开始金水的求职路十分不顺，处处碰壁，夫妻俩过着拮据的生活。得到工作后的金水勤奋工作得到了上司Nancy赏识提携。二人更渐生情愫，导致了金水与妻子阿娣感情破裂，阿娣伤心离去。两年后，金水浪子回头，决定找回昔日的爱妻。。
