古美术鉴定家剑持（中村鴈治郎 饰）终于迎来自己的老年时代，他的身体各项技能都开始退化，然而其又心存不甘。剑持的妻子郁子（京マチ子 饰）端庄贤淑，出身僧侣之家且受着传统教育的她即使在夫妻云雨之时也拒绝欲望的宣泄。深知妻子隐含的欲望，剑持一方面想引导郁子变成一个放荡的女人，一方面也希望通过嫉妒来让自己重新焕发活力。他经常将年轻英俊的医学院学生木村（仲代達矢 饰）邀至家中，企图从木村和郁子的暧昧中感受强烈的嫉妒。同时他将真实想法写在日记里，并设法让郁子看到。夫妻二人由此展开危险、致命的欲望游戏…… 本片根据日本官能作家谷崎润一郎的同名原作改编，并荣获1960年戛纳电影节评委会奖、1960年蓝丝带最佳导演奖、1960年美国金球奖最佳外语片奖、1960年电影旬报最佳剧本奖。。过去是个体户、如今已是出租汽车司机的魏东东与为人耿直、憨厚的电影厂化装师傅德顺，尽管新婚的喜字尚未退色，小两口因性格不合已吵得天翻地覆，顺子无处可去，二人只好隔帘相居，互不理睬。东东的老同学徐莉曾是电影明星，因受港商欺骗离开了银幕，成了大饭店的招待员，生活的坎坷使她体会到了世态炎凉。电影明星赵翰之是顺子的好朋友，他根据自己失恋的教训，告诫顺子不要为女人而痛苦，并教他向东东偷学独立生存的办法。顺子偷学鸡蛋炒菜花，却不知上了当。赵翰之找顺子帮忙为摄制组租车，来到东东的四合院，东东对赵翰之一见钟情，可赵翰之却不以为然，使她十分尴尬。拍摄现场，导演让东东临时扮演角色，可东东一见赵翰之就心慌意乱，气得导演决定换人。东东和徐莉在小西餐厅就餐时被徐莉看出隐情，她告诉东东赵翰之想出国留学，并告诉她可以“用钱买男人”。进入梦乡的东东，由于老鼠的叫闹，吓得直喊顺子。顺子...。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
